This is the first blog of many to come. We want you to enjoy our site so here is a small introduction about us and to some of the features we offer.

Bakeshot was founded in 2012 by a collective of bakers with the idea of creating a community where our users can share, learn and socialise with like minded people.

Our moto, MIX·BAKE·SHARE, explain what we are all about. Our site is designed for you to share your baking creations through uploading your baking images. After all an image can speak a thousand words!

After uploading, other users can then view, comment, like, favourite and share your images, as you can with theirs.
On your profile page you can tell users a little bit about yourself and if you like you can list your personal or professional baking websites.

You can follow users and users can follow you and your work. Your personal feed section will show images from the users you follow and your personal mention section will show you any image your name has been tagged against so you can see if your work is being talked about!
We also have regular new baking ideas and recipes posted on site and also our blog lists some of our favourite bakers, baking images and reciepes each month.

We hope you enjoy using the site and help us grow into the best baking community online. If you enjoy our site we hope you share it with your friends so they can enjoy it too.
